2007 Stroll Through History Grant Application

MISSION STATEMENT OF THE STROLL THROUGH HISTORY, INC.

“To enhance awareness and appreciation of Woodland’s history and architecture as a celebration of our unique heritage for the benefit of the entire community”

RESTRICTIONS: Grants are given only to organizations that have a physical mailing address in the City of Woodland. Stroll Through History does not give grants to endowment funds, and we prefer to donate to established groups with a track record of some accomplishments. Grants are evaluated for historical correctness and accuracy. Requests for hardware, software, and digital equipment are allowed; if your group will be using the funds to build archives, document your holdings, establish an on-line presence for your group, etc.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF AWARD: Stroll Through History would like some acknowledgment of our donation posted near your project. Projects with a multi-year time frame should be noted on the application. We would like to know how your project is proceeding and eventually, photo documentation for our records. We recommend that your group plan completion of your project within one year of receiving a grant.

UNUSED FUNDS: If your organization is unable to complete the project for which you were donated funds, we request that you return the unused funds to Stroll Through History as soon as possible.

DATE OF AWARD: Awards winners are notified by mail and announced at the Volunteers’ Appreciation Dinner the evening of the Stroll. The actual amount of the award will not be known until the proceeds of the Stroll are calculated, approximately two weeks after the event.
